Here is another occasional newsletter sharing information and updates that might be useful to you as you minister to children young people and their families in your church and the community around you.
The Essentials course has been going really well. We are half way through the 10 sessions and are taking a break over half term. It's been great to work through the Youthscape material, gaining insights into the world of young people, honing our youth work skills and developing our character as disciples and leaders.
We're planning to run the course again starting in January 2025 - it would be helpful to know if you are interested.

Earlier in October I represented the EMBA at the national Baptists Together CYF Round Table. This time we met jointly with the Young Adults Round Table and spent our time exploring Transitions; to different schools, into the world of work, leaving home, adn thought about how our churches can support children, young people and young adults as they journey through the different life stages.

We also have a Facebook group called EMBA Children Young People and Families. If you request to join, you will be asked which church you are part of and what your interest is. This is a private group and the questions are to protect that privacy so the group can be a safe and supportive space to share ideas and resources and to support one another.

CYM have been "Taking the Pulse of Ministries Amongst Children Youth and Families". They talked with those involved in CYF ministries, families and children and young people themselves in order to capture "...some of the heart, some of stories and some of the hopes of key stakeholders in raising faith in the younger generations of the church and beyond" The report is now available on the CYM website CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE CYM WEBSITE |

Scripture Union published a report earlier in the summer called "Exploring Hybrid Mission Amongst Young People". The aim of the research was to explore the missional space of children and young people's hybrid world of in-person and online activity. CLICK HERE TO GET THE REPORT |
