2026 EMBA Year of Developing Leaders
In the EMBA we believe that church leadership is fundamental to growing healthy churches that embody the Good News and share their faith with their communities. Inspiring and equipping leaders at every level plays a big part in the work of the Association.
We're so passionate about this that we are calling 2026 the EMBA Year of Developing Leaders. We are making the identifying, equipping and resourcing of leaders a priority.
Over the next year, and beyond, we will be offering opportunities to explore a call to leadership and training to equip and inspire leaders at every level.

Annual Return
The deadline for completion of your church's Annual Return is very close and we hear from Baptist House that there are still a lot of EMBA churches that haven't sent theirs in yet. Can we encourage Church Secretaries to do this if they haven't already.

Baptisms.
Back in August we asked you to let us know if you had any baptisms in your church. Since then we recorded an amazing NINETY SEVEN people making a public declaration of their faith in Baptism. We give thanks with joy for each one and pray that they will continue to grow as followers of Christ.

WOMEN EXPLORING LEADERSHIP Saturday 25th April 10am-2pm Littleover Baptist Church Are you called into leadership in your church? As a small group leader, Deacon, Junior church leader? Might God be calling you to be a Baptist Minister? A day for women to hear from women leaders and explore whether God might be speaking to them. Kenny Henry (EMBA Safeguarding Lead) is now the primary contact for all EMBA safeguarding concerns and training enquiries.
New Safeguarding training dates are now available to book.

Kenny holds a drop-in "Zoom Surgery" when you can chat with him about safeguarding matters. It's 6-7pm on the last Thursday of the month online. Contact Kenny for details and the link.
